Added in v3.7, the Infinity gem can greatly enhance the DPS of a single, chosen hero. The button can be found at the very bottom of the hero menu list, underneath the Altar and Grade buttons.
Once chosen, a different hero cannot be selected until 24 hours have passed. If/when a different hero is chosen, the previously enhanced hero loses the Infinity gem benefits. While enhanced by the Infinity gem, the chosen hero cannot be selected (greyed-out) at the Altar.
To gain access to this enhancement, a player's level must be at least 4000.
The earliest hero known to be able to reach this threshold is Kerthroraaz, at Galactic X rarity, and 4 equipment set stars. Even then, a player may need to leave heroes with global dps bonuses out of the mines, and eke out the last few levels with Skills.
The value granted by the Infinity gem is based upon the degree of completion of the various tracked "Totems". Each totem records the amount of shards for a certain space hero the player has, reaching a 100% max value for that totem when there are enough shards to activate the hero. Once the 100% threshold is reached, using the shards to activate the tracked hero, Crafting the tracked hero's shards into higher hero shards, or variant heroes will not diminish a totem's value.
Currently, there are 4 totems, which track shards for these heroes: Soul Eater, Necrophagist Trooper, Seaweed, and Blue Void.
-
- Tracks Soul Eater only, ignoring any shards of Soul Mauler or Soul Reaper.
- Worth approximately E+1 for each 1%, for a total of E+100 when complete.
-
- Tracks Necrophagist Trooper only, ignoring any shards of Necrophagist Mage or Necrophagist Warrior.
- Worth approximately E+2 for each 1%, for a total of E+200 when complete.
-
- Tracks Blue Void only, ignoring any shards of Green Void or Purple Void.
- Worth approximately E+18 for each 1%, for a total of E+1800 when complete.
